Kenya Tanzania Uganda Safari Itinerary

Day 1. Nairobi.
Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international airport . Meet and greet, Transfer to Eka Hotel for overnight stay before embarking on your Kenya Tanzania & Uganda safari the next morning.
Meal plan: {BB}.

Day 2. Kampala / Bwindi National Park.
Pick up from your Nairobi Hotel at 0400hrs and transfer to the airport for early morning 0630hrs flight to entebbe, Arrive Entebbe airport at 0720hrs, Meet, safari briefing and depart for the south with stops at the craft village at the Uganda Equator for pictures and shopping. After lunch at the Lakeview hotel in Mbarara, proceed through the beautiful evergreen mountain country referred to as the “Little Switzerland”. Late evening arrive for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort Camp.

Transits Time 8-10hrs.

Day 3. Gorilla Treks / Bwindi National Park Uganda.
Morning breakfast at Resort/Camp followed by briefing by park ranger guides. With picnic lunch you later start 30 minutes – 8 hours trek to find the Mountain gorillas in Bwindi. The tracking starts at the area where the gorillas were spotted the previous day. Enjoy an hour with the gorillas and return for dinner and overnight at The Gorilla Resort Camp.

Day 4. Kampala.
After breakfast, we depart from the gorilla sanctuary and transfer to Mbarara for lunch, Later depart for Kampala with a stop over at the Uganda equator and the Mpambire drum makers workshop should you wish.Arrive Kampala and transfer to Airport View Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5. Nairobi.
Breakfast at Hotel and later transfer to the airport for mid morning flight to Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi, Meet and transfer to Eka Hotel, bed/breakfast basis.

Day 6. Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve. (5.5hrs drive).
Breakfast and depart for masai Mara passing through the dramatic Great Rift Valley stopping at the view point,Ascend the western rim of the valley crossing the loita plains (maasailand),see red-clad maasai warriors tend their multi-colored herds amongst plains game. Game viewing enroute to lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive inside the most scenic park in Kenya where great concentration of game is seen including the “Big Five”. Dinner and overnight at Ol Moran Tented Camp.

Day 7 & 8. Masai Mara National Reserve.
Breakfast and leave with picnic lunches for a full day game drive inside the Park. Search for Wild game black manned lion for which Mara is famous for, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, grants gazelle are quite common, even the rare rhino might come out of the thicket for you, hyenas are plentiful, Extend your drive to the hippo point where schools of hippo submerge on the approach of vehicles only to surface seconds later to shot and gamble their displeasure as the crocodiles sunbathe on the river banks mouths agape. Between meals there is optional visit to the Maasai villages for an insight to their culture if clients so wish. Meals and overnight at Ol Moran Tented Camp.

Day 9. Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru. (4.5hrs drive).
Breakfast and afterwards depart for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. The Bird Watchers’ Paradise On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching and game drives.
Attractions include:
Flamingo (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total.
Mammals: 56 different species including white rhinos, waterbuck etc.
View-points: Lion hill, Baboon cliff and Out of Africa
Hills: Enasoit, Honeymoon, Lion hill ridge etc
Waterfalls: Makalia.
Unique vegetation: About 550 different plant species including the unique and biggest euphorbia forest in Africa, Picturesque landscape and yellow acacia woodlands.Afternoon game drive inside the beautiful Park to view thousands of pink flamingos and numerous wild game including the Rhinos afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 10. Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park. (6hrs drive).
Breakfast and depart with packed lunch, proceed to Amboseli stopping  enroute your lunch, arrive Amboseli National Park late afternoon, if time permits you will enjoy late afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at AA Lodge Amboseli.
The park is 39,206 hectares (392 km2; 151 sq. mi) in size at the core of an 8,000 square kilometres (3,100 sq. mi) ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border. Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.  They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

Day 11. Amboseli.
Breakfast and proceed for a full day of game drives in the photogenic Park, Amboseli is famous for huge herds of elephants and hosts a great number of other game including the lion, the splendid cheetah and a variety of Birdlife. Dinner and overnight at AA Lodge Amboseli.

Day 12. Amboseli – Lake Manyara National Park. (4.5hrs drive).
This day you enter your third part of your Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda safari. Breakfast and proceed for Namanga Border town, Crossover to Tanzania arriving Arusha at approximately 1200hrs, Lunch at a selected Arusha Hotel / Restaurant. After lunch proceed to Lake Manyara for late afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Migunga Tented Camp.

Day 13. Lake Mayara – Serengeti. (2.5hrs drive).
After breakfast drive to Serengeti.The park covers 12,944km2 of open plains making it one of the largest in the world. The rocky outcrops commonly known as ‘kopjes’ in the eastern part of the park are of scenic beauty and occasionally cats can be seen lazing on them. The park contains vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and the antelopes. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Ikoma Tented Camp.

Day 14. Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast take a packed lunch with you and continue with game viewing on Serengeti Park. The migration can be seen on a long chain approximately 40 Km heading to the south western direction. Around 1230 and 1300 break for your lunch. After lunch have a rest for one hr, then proceed with your game viewing following the move of the migrants on the
southwest of the park. Dinner and overnight at Ikoma Tented Camp.

Day 15. Serengeti – Ngorongoro. (2hrs drive).
Breakfast and leave for Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge, Arrive for Lunch, Afternoon at Leisure.  Dinner and Overnight at Rhino Lodge.

Day 16. Ngorongoro Crater.
Today you will descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a crater tour with picnic lunches. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open Savannah where the lions hunt for food. Dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge.

Day 17. Arusha / Nairobi.
After breakfast, depart for Arusha for lunch and board 1400hrs shuttle back to Nairobi. Arriving Nairobi at approximately 1830hrs. You will be dropped at the airport for your onward flight out. End of a memorable Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda safari.
Approx Transit time: 10 hrs
