Wake up to the fresh morning air of Amboseli and enjoy breakfast before heading out with packed lunch for a full day of wildlife viewing.
The early hours are often among the best times to explore the park, when the light is beautiful and animals are active. Your guide will help you look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, hyenas and other wildlife as you explore different parts of the reserve.
Amboseli’s landscape is just as fascinating as its wildlife. The park features wide-open plains, dusty lake beds and permanent swamps fed by underground water originating from Mount Kilimanjaro. These wetlands attract elephants, hippos, buffaloes and a variety of water birds, creating a striking contrast with the dry surrounding plains.
During the day, visit Observation Hill, where permitted and accessible, for panoramic views across the park. From the top, you can appreciate Amboseli’s vast landscape, its wetlands and, when skies are clear, the impressive silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro.
